Picture a gentle, soft-spoken therapist who asks, "how does that make you FEEL..."

That's not me! I'm not nicey-nice and soft-spoken and I prefer to work with thinking vs. feeling. Though I'll be your biggest advocate and will create a supportive environment, clients tell me they like my direct and challenging style. When you're paying for services out-of-pocket, you want to be challenged and see movement, not just talk about feelings.

You may be uncomfortable at times if things are going well in your growth. As a wise friend once told me, "there are no breakthroughs without breakdowns." Being uncomfortable, breaking down and hitting bottom can be an amazing catalyst for growth.

I'm not a blank slate - I'm a real person with a personality and experiences. Just because I'm a counselor and coach doesn't mean I've got life all figured out! I've made plenty of mistakes myself and I'm in no place to judge anyone. The things I've done "wrong" have taught me the most and make me much more compassionate toward other people.
